Influence of Climatic and Environmental Conditions on Geomorphological Processes

Abstract

This article examines the influence of climatic and environmental conditions on geomorphological processes as a research topic. The study focuses on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. The relevance of this research lies in identifying complex impacts and preventing future threats. The primary concern is the need for research. The purpose of the study is to scientifically analyze and determine their interrelations. The objective of the study is to analyze the role of climatic factors, determine the influence of anthropogenic factors, explain the relationship between climate, ecology, and geomorphology, and develop recommendations for managing geomorphological processes. The study utilized theoretical analysis, field research, GIS technologies, comparative and historical methods. The study demonstrates that the effects of global warming are significantly detrimental to geomorphological processes and human health. Over the past 30 years, rising temperatures, extreme precipitation patterns, and erosion intensity have increased by 1.5-2 times. Reduced vegetation cover has led to a decrease in soil fertility, and the incidence of landslides has increased by 25-30%. In some areas, anthropogenic factors have been found to have a twice-stronger impact. The main conclusion is that the impact of climatic and environmental conditions is particularly strong in mountainous areas. A GIS-based monitoring system needs to be implemented.
